Happy Birthday darling Keith!  I know it’s not perfect yet but at least it looks like and tastes like a cake this year 🙂

I followed the recipe for Devil’s Food Cake on the Pillsbury Softasilk cake flour box.  Two things I did differently was to add 3/4 c. cocoa powder in the frosting and I did not add almond extract.  The cake was nice and moist but the frosting was way too sweet.  I’d definitely make this again but with less sugar and a little more butter for the frosting.  Here’s the recipe.  Cheers!
